quick update
Feb. 11th, 2011 13:06Change of ADD meds, from nortriptyline to sertraline (generic equivalent of Zoloft.) Immediate reason: old meds were drying out my nose; and combined with cold, dry weather, I was finding it harder to breathe. Other side effects included dry mouth and tenser muscles.
Monday (February 7) I saw a HealthPartners (my HMO) psychiatrist. Monday and Tuesday, I cut back on the old medication. Tuesday, when I cut back by two-thirds, I had considerably more attention problems and some memory problems. Wednesday I started taking half a tablet of the new medication. It works noticeably better. Next Wednesday I'm to start taking a full tablet.
